Sport Fishing & Grilling Your Own Catch

The northwest coast of Costa Rica sits just 20 minutes from the continental shelf making it one of the best places in the world for sport fishing.  Once the day is done and you have your catch there's nothing more satisfying then eating the fish you fought so hard to bring in.  But where?

When you stay with us you have two options.  The first option is an outdoor rancho that sits next to our pool.  It has a barbecue grill, a 4 burner stove, microwave, sink with running water, and counter space to do your best work.  We also have picnic tables and all the kitchenware you need to prepare a meal from beginning to end.  You can at the picnic tables or on the pool deck and eat your scrumptious meal with wine or a corona.

Our second option is an indoor kitchen that is inside one of our rooms.  The room includes a full kitchen with range, fridge, microwave, cookware, and more.  The room includes a bunkbed and a double bed with memory foam comfort so that you, with your aching muscles, can still get a good nights sleep after a day out at sea.

 

There are many local fishing service providers to choose from and we would be happy to make a recommendation if you need one.  But, at the end of the day, you will be thrilled to enjoy grilling your fish and relaxing afterward with total satisfaction.

 

Here in the northwest corner of Costa Rica we are 20 minutes from the continental shelf where a variety of fish can be found.  The best months are December through August.  If you don't want to pay high season prices then make your plans for after Easter.  

 

The quality and variety of fish is astounding.  You may catch one of the following on your excursions: Billfish, Jack Creavalle, Blackfin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Sailfish,  Wahoo, Snapper, Mahi-Mahi, Dorado, Roosterfish, Grouper.  The taste buds are watering just thinking about it.  Imagine bringing your favorite flavors with you and maximize the joy of eating your catch.
